15th Day Of Christmas: Favourite Christmas Films

Hello everyone! It's less than two weeks until Christmas and I'm sure that you are all counting down the days until you are free from work or school so that means one thing; here come the Christmas films! (I'm starting to think that I overuse exclamation marks, sorry about that) These are just a few of my favourites, I love watching a few good Christmas movies in the lead up to the main event.

  • Love Actually is one of my favourite films anyway, not just at Christmas time, despite the fact that it's set around the festive period. It's just a feel-good film that makes you, or rather me, laugh, cry and connect with the characters in a way that just really sets the festive mood.
  • The Santa Claus films are fantastic and I love to watch them with my eight year old sister because they have humor for me and Christmas magic for her. I think, think being the key word, that I had the first one one or two on video. I'm not particularly sure about the second but I have a vague memory of waiting for the film to rewind on the video player.
  • Home Alone 1+2 because who doesn't love watching a kid get the better or two hardened criminals? When Marv stands on the nail in the first film it makes me cringe so much, it's probably the worst feeling I could think of. I only mention the first two because the other films in the series are absolutely terrible and really disappointed me.
  • Gremlins is a great film to watch, I used to watch it a lot when I was younger so it's nice to see it again at Christmas time. The actual gremlins aren't amazing and I've seen standard toys that look more realistic but the storyline is enjoyable so that kind of makes up for it. Either way I love the Gremlins films but I don't know how much you should value my opinion considering the fact that I love watching The Labyrinth with David Bowie.
Those are some of my favourites, what are yours?
