3rd Day Of Blogmas: Christmas Playlist

This blogmas post is going to be rather brief because I'm in London and only half awake but I think you'll get the general idea of it. This is literally just a list of my favourite Christmas songs, at the end of it I'd love to hear yours.
  • All I Want For Christmas Is You- Mariah Carey; I love this song, my mum absolutely hates it but it's one that has grown on my from years of irritating her with it.
  • Baby It's Cold Outside- Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews; This is a song that I've always loved. Recently Michael BublĂ© and Idina Menzel brought out their own version and it's... Different. I still enjoy it but it's not the original.
  • Driving Home For Christmas- Chris Rea; When asked what my favourite Christmas song was as a kid I always used to say this one. It's not one of the more upbeat and dancy songs but it always just really gets me in the Christmas spirit.
  • Last Christmas- Wham!; Who doesn't enjoy a bit of cheesy 80's pop at Christmas time? It's been covered again and again but this is my favourite version.
  • Merry Christmas Everyone- Shakin' Stevens; This song is one you can really dance to, I wouldn't advise it if you dance like me but this song was overplayed in my childhood so it really makes me feel Christmassy.
  • Fairytale Of New York- The Pogues Ft. Kirsty McColl; This one is impossible to not sing along to, it's so catchy and the fact that it gets sort of passive aggressive and the two singers start calling each other is a bonus.
  • Elton John- Step Into Christmas; This is another song that requires a sing-along and some bad dance moves. As a child I actually remember more of Crocodile Rock than this because Bob The Builder did a cover of Crocodile Rock in the Christmas film.
Those were just some of the songs that make it on to my Christmas playlist, what is on yours?

  1. So happy there's a little snap of Jeffrey the Tree in this!! Love my little tree. I can't believe 'Fairy tale of New York' is so far down this list! You also need to listen to 'It's Christmas and I hate you' by Paloma Faith and Josh Weller and the Christmas albums by She and Him!!

    1. It's not an ordered list, don't worry! Haha! I'll give it a go when I get a chance. :-)

  2. Driving home for Christmas and Merry Christmas Everyone are my fave songs. The one I'm not particularly fond of is Last Christmas. I think I heard it too many times :)

    1. Yeah, a lot of people say that. Have you heard the version that was in Love Actually?
