My Vinyl Wishlist

As I've mentioned in various posts, I got a turntable for Christmas and whilst I do have quite a few vinyls I would still like more to add more to the collection. I have a rather varied taste in music so if any of the vinyls on wishlist are a bit random or not consistent with the rest, that's why.

If it wasn't for the fact that The Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is over £30 on average I would already have the vinyl. I will get it eventually but it will be a while before I end up buying it unless someone else gets it for me.

Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits would be utterly amazing to own on vinyl, they sound amazing and their lyrics are genius. If I didn't get their Greatest Hits it would be just about pointless having a turntable because they were practically made for listening to in vinyl form.

I would love to own a 5 Seconds Of Summer vinyl, I only just noticed that you can buy it on Amazon so next time I have money I think that I'll be getting that. I'm not even embarrassed to say that they are my favourite band, they obviously work hard at what they do and it shows when they both record and perform. I love the whole of their first album but my favourites are Try Hard, Voodoo Doll and End Up Here.

The 1975 is a band I slowly grew to love through 2014, I listen to Anarbor because they remind me of them. Anyway, when I was checking out the vinyl they have available on Amazon I realised that their full album rather than an EP or single was there so that's perfect for listening to on vinyl because I won't have to change sides too often.

Ed Sheeran would be a great artist to have on vinyl, I bet he sounds even more amazing played on a turntable. I've seen one of his albums on sale in HMV so that's another one that I'll inevitably buy before 2015 is through.

Taylor Swift's 1989 is a great album and I'd love to be able to play that in vinyl form, I've always liked Taylor Swift. I can remember singing various songs with my best friend when we were still in school, we planned to be wedding singers at one point.

Obviously there are more that I would love to own but these cropped up whilst I was searching through Amazon. Are there any you would add to the list?

  1. I did a post like this a while back - except it was all dreaming, as I don't have a turntable of my own yet! (although we do have a house one in the living room) I love the whole almost 'ritual' feeling of listening to a record on vinyl :)

    1. It's really relaxing too, unless you forget to alter the speed! :)
