My Weekly Playlist

Hey everyone! This is yet another post series I hope to keep up with this year, I'm going to be sharing with you what I've been listening to throughout the week. Some of the songs will be old and some will be new, either way I'm going to be including a mixture of genres and styles so it's worth checking out every week if you love discovering new music.

The first song I'm going to mention is 18 by Anarbor, I discovered it a few days ago and I absolutely love it. I haven't really had the chance to check out any of their other songs yet but I will when I get a chance, I actually found 18 on Youtube when I was watching random video montages if anyone is interested in how I found it. Also, from the impression I get listening to 18 I'm thinking that Anarbor is sort of like The 1975 but that's my opinion, maybe others think the same but I haven't looked that deeply into it. So yeah, if you like The 1975 I recommend you check them out.

I've been listening to a lot of the vinyl I got for Christmas so I've had Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds on quite a bit, I wanted to hate it as sort of a rebellion against my mums tastes but it's actually pretty great. My favourite song on there is Forever Autumn, it's fantastic for when you don't want something massively bouncy or loud. I've appreciated it quite a bit since I've had a headache because I hate silence but my head really did hurt.

Ed Sheeran never gets annoying for me and I utterly adore Thinking Out Loud, it's been on repeat quite a few times and whilst just about everyone has heard it, I still highly recommend it. I've been wanting an Ed Sheeran vinyl to play on my new turntable but I paid £10 for 6 of the classic vinyls on a market stall and modern music tends to be about £20 so it's just not practical.

Other than that I've just been listening to a total mix, 5 Seconds Of Summer, All American Rejects, Green Day, Blink 182, McBusted... One Direction, Little Mix, Taylor Swift... Queen, The Beatles... I listen to a lot of music.

The next edition of this post will be in more detail but this week I've just selected the main ones so everyone can see how varied my taste is.

What's everyone else listening to?

  3. I love vinyls. I don't know many of bands/artists you are listening to, but I can say that blink 182 is a great band, I remember their music from times when I was younger and I loved so much their music :)

  4. Oh my God. I LOVE War of the Worlds, we used to listen to it every time we drove up to Scotland and I've been listening to it practically non stop for weeks! I'm determined to learn The Eve of War on my trumpet too.

ALSO! Have you seen this? Gary Barlow singing Forever Autumn... Hell to the yes! (I hope this is the right link... don't want the office to hate me so just clicked and hoped)

    1. You've gotta love War Of The Worlds! It's musical genius, I bet you can't wait to learn The Eve Of War properly. My mum went to see it at the Metro Radio Arena with my grandad, I was so so jealous! Xx
