New Haircut

Please excuse the fact that the image is a bad bathroom selfie because I wanted to get the back of my hair in the image too. Anyway, since we've just had a heatwave here in the UK, long hair was a total nuisance... Me being me, I actually booked an appointment at the hairdressers in a bit of a strop. Having thick wavy hair is both a blessing and a curse, some people would kill to have that hair texture combo but it's been the bane of my life for a while now. In the summer it feels too heavy and without blow drying it looks ratty.

I went in with half of an idea, as I usually do, as I can never decide and my hairdresser basically got free reign. I ended up with this concave bob, which I love but I know it will get annoying because I'm trying to grow out the dye. I get bored too easily and I love changing up the colour so it's going to be difficult! It will, however, be really handy for when I go to Majorca because it's a bit of a wash and go style. My hair doesn't dry that badly when it's short but because my hear is used to creating the natural oils for longer hair, I've found that I need to wash my hair every day which is more of a fuss because I usually wash it every other day.

Last time I got my hair done (as seen to the right) I just got it trimmed and dyed, looking at this picture and focusing on my fringe, I guess I was always edging towards a shorter cut. I haven't had my hair this short since I was about sixteen or seventeen. Last time I had it this short I had a full fringe and I looked a bit like a lego head but I think I suit my hair shorter anyway.

So, I just wanted to post a bit of a hair update since a) I always seem to when I go to the hairdressers and b) because I've been such a bad blogger and this my first post of July. I know, I suck. It's probably pointless promising a wave of new content as I'm just planning for my holiday content which will be out halfway through next month if things go the way I think they will. I will try to post as much as I can without compromising on quality before then though. Thanks for reading, it's much appreciated!

  1. Love it missus. Just be stubborn with the dye and make sure you go for regular trims. Some hair dressers even do this for free if you're maintaining a style they did especially since it's graduated at the back.

    1. Thanks, AJ. :)

Like I mentioned yesterday, I'm going to get it cut next when I get back from Majorca. Hopefully the heat will help it grow or something, I don't know. :D
