Travel Log: Shorter Hair (Done In Tuen Mun)

After a few days here in Hong Kong I decided that long hair just wouldn't work for me this month. To be honest, I've been thinking about cropping my hair this short for a long time. I've wanted to cut out as much of the dye as possible to get rid of the damage from bleaching. I can't actually remember the name of the salon, though, I'll mention it in another travel log when I walk past the it again.

I feel really bad for forgetting because they were really nice and they spent a lot of time just working on my hair. Once they shampooed my hair, which they did very gently, I showed the stylist a picture of Jennifer Lawerence when she first cut her hair into a pixie style. Of course, I know I'm not going to look like Jennifer... Not even all of the pampering in the world would make me look like that. I just think it's a good pixie style for all face shapes, it's quite flattering actually. Though, a more rounded face shape may not be best suited to the style.

The image to the right shows the finished result, I'm not sure how I feel about it and I've heard mixed reactions to it. I guess I'll see what I think once I've styled it myself and worked out how I like to do it. At the moment I'm thinking lazy and tousled will be the way forward, it might be a little easier to clip the fringe to the side until I get back from Hong Kong though. I'll probably have a lot of fun buying funky hair slides and random accessories to jazz it up a bit. Either way my hairdresser back home is going to kill me. We decided against it last time I got it cut, oops.

What do you guys think anyway? Any styling tips for short hair? I'd love to hear from you. I have no doubt that I'll end up blogging again tomorrow to possibly check in again soon. Thanks for reading!
